A post I published recently on LinkedIn and in my newsletter generated several new client leads (a couple of whom have already hired me).
I call it a “pre-case study” and it’s an effective format anyone can use.
All I did was explain exactly what I’m going to do for a client who recently hired me.
Sure enough, other people who wanted help with those same things reached out wanting to know if I could help them as well.
What’s interesting about it is I talked about it BEFORE I did the work instead of talking about the work I did after the fact.
The key is that it’s very specific about how I’m going to help that client as opposed to the broader, generic way we often talk about what we do.
It’s also presented in a very simple, clear, non-salesy way.
Almost matter of fact.
With a bit of credibility referenced at the end.
Also worth noting:
The post only has 16 likes, 2 comments, and 600 impressions.
Not a “hit” by those standards.
But those aren’t the goals of a post like this.
It’s a “hit” because it got me leads and clients.
For reference, here’s what I wrote in the original post:
I’m about to start working with a new client who’s launching a course.
Here’s what I’ll do for him:
1. Map out a 30-day content strategy to announce and promote the course.
2. Rewrite all his messaging related to the course including the course description, his sales page, promotional emails, and references on his social profiles.
3. Rewrite all his social posts for the month leading into the launch and give him strategic post ideas to create.
4. Advise him on pricing and monetization strategy.
5. Advise him on how to get additional awareness for the course including helping him set up cross-promotions and potentially paid ad campaigns.
I’ll do all of this to accomplish one clear goal:
Get as many people as possible to buy his course.
Do you have a similar goal and want me to help you accomplish it?
Let’s chat.
PS – I’ve helped clients sell more than a million dollars worth of products over the years.
I know how to do this and can put all that expertise to work for you.
