What I Learned From Switching To LinkedIn’s Most Recent Posts Feed

Do you ever use LinkedIn’s most recent posts feed setting?

I switched my feed to the most recent posts view a couple days ago and it’s eye-opening.

Not only am I seeing posts from people who haven’t shown up in my feed for a long time, I’m also seeing posts from a lot of people I don’t even remember connecting with or following.

Long story short, it’s a nice way to clean up my connections and following list a little bit at a time.

Another interesting thing I noticed:

The most recent feed view doesn’t just show you posts – it also shows you when people you follow like or comment on other people’s posts.

That tends to happen in batches apparently (makes sense since people like stuff as they browse).

What’s interesting about it is seeing a handful of posts someone liked gives you a different sense of their interests and how they use the platform than simply looking at what they post.
