The description test

Read the description of your creation and ask yourself a simple question:

How many other creations does this describe?

The fewer the better.

For example, I saw this as someone’s newsletter description:

“A just-for-fun newsletter full of attention-worthy links and ideas arranged with love.”  

That’s fine, but it could describe any of a hundred different newsletters.  

The same newsletter would be more compelling described as something like this:  

“A weekly newsletter featuring creations that please your tastebuds and inspire you to make better art.”  

The more unique and specific your description, the more likely people are to check out what you make.
