Loved the story…wish same thing goes for me when I reach that age. No matter what motorcycle you own…its all about the ride and the guys with you.

Thank you for this inspiration to create something beautiful. Will it be a movie or a wonderful batch of cookies or something I can dream?
I am thinking, “What kind of a video can I make with such a powerful message?”

Deb Lamb March 2, 2011 Reply

It’s not just the dream, Its about passion.

Why can’t all advertising be this good?
Because real good life needs not be advertised,
it can only be adventured.

Mike Osborne March 2, 2011 Reply

I am turning 68 in one week. Haven’t rode for 10 years. It is time to get back. Very touching story. Only the cynics would criticize the bank for this ad. I would think they would attract customers with this ad

Worth watching againa and agin. Thanks to the bank and all for putting it all together. A lot of work. By the way, it really NOT just about motorcycling, you know. It far broader than that. Try this…listen to the 4:22 song at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiOcW_YR1G8

Now, you REALLY know Jack! March 2, 2011 Reply

Oops. That’s what I get for not proof-reading. Typos on top of typos. Sorry…but, I think you get the message…with or without a motorcycle. Agree?

MetalAngel March 3, 2011 Reply

This is why I ride! Awesome!

Eddie J. Fernandes March 3, 2011 Reply

If you believe in prophecy then this will be me in 30 years time 🙂 Riding motorcycles at 80 with my good buddies from the Christian Motorcyclists Association of Portugal. Thanks for the inspiration and a very touching and powerful clip. As to people like comment #27 Re-Al O’Teecheck, there will always be people who refuse to see something good no matter if it’s covered in gold. My opinion? If you have nothing good and positive to say to make this world a better place then reserve your thoughts to yourself. As for me and most of the world we loved this commercial because it brings out the best in the human experience. Let’s ride!

For me, it’s photography ….. and at 76 I’ll be doing what I can to share my craft for as long as possible.

Reading all the wonderful comments is as satisfying as watching this terrific video.

One of my favorite quotes is by Einstein when he said, “Nothing happens until something moves.” This video is proof of that.

Rik March 3, 2011 Reply

The intent is admirable, of course — and the message is well done. But as an advertising guy, my first thought when you ask: Why can’t all advertising be this good?

. . . is likely because most advertising (spots) are less than 1/6th as long. Try to create that same poignancy in 28.5 seconds!!

Sue OBrien March 3, 2011 Reply

Made me cry, so moving….BRAVO!!!

Bill Brazis March 3, 2011 Reply

This was so moving, I said to myself I’m going to live forever so I can fulfill all my dreams.

I got my first motorcycle at age 10 in 1968. Since then there has never been a day I didn’t own at least 1 bike. I will ride until I have wings to fly.

Mike March 3, 2011 Reply

Inspirational for sure. Reminds me of something my grandfather used to say…”you’re not old until your dreams turn to regrets”. Keep Dreaming.

Fantastic Commercial! In a few weeks I will be 66 and have been riding since I was 12..made my first scooter out of a 26″ Schwinn and a 5 hp centrifical clutch paint srayer engine. Moped,Triumph,BSA,Cushman Eagle & 3 H-Ds…what a glorious ride to meet so many people, make so many friends, see so many wonderful sights. This commercial exhibits the true spirit of ‘knees to the breeze”

NONONO!!! Don’t make advertising that makes us feel emotions! I don’t want to feel something whenever I think of a bank! Make films this good! Why is it that our best source of artistic visual achievement has to be in the promotion of some product!!!?!?!

Fantastic. Who cares if its a commercial. I will have nothing to do with that bank, but to thank them for a remarkable reminder that getting older is our goal from the moment we are born. Our goal should be to live as long as we can, and to put life into our dreams every day we draw breath. Wonderful. Thank you.

Inspiring/motivating video. What was most inspiring for me was that the riders took those who had been important in their lives and had passed on; along for the ride. IMO the world would be a more peaceful place if we recognized the many gifts that have been given to us along the way by parents, spouses, friends and even strangers.

Rova March 4, 2011 Reply

Beautiful in spirit! That’s what it’s all about. I’m 74 and still ride whenever weather permits. The BANK should be commended for keeping a low profile…Bravo!

Mark March 4, 2011 Reply

The question was asked up near the top,”What happened to TD Bank?”

They got bailed out with AIG and Goldman-Sachs.

And by the way, I don’t see what was so special. A bunch of old guys decide to ride their 40 year old motorcycles around a small island. How is that inspiring? And what exactly does it inspire you to do?

You’re a bunch of PC, touchy-feely saps who really need to get at least one life.
