Why I Chose Impact Over Reach With My Newsletter

Check out this reply I got to my newsletter:

It comes from a guy who just joined my membership after being subscribed to my newsletter for years:

“Good stuff Mr Spector – and now that I’m paying for it … guess what?

Yup, I actually go looking for it and the upgrades and great content.”

This is a big part of why I recently made my newsletter part of my membership and no longer offer it for free.

When someone is invested in what you offer, they’re more likely to put it to use.

And if they’re more likely to put it to use, they’re more likely to benefit from your expertise.

And if they’re more likely to benefit from your expertise, you can make a more meaningful impact.

And the bigger impact you make, the more opportunities you create for yourself.

The decision to move my newsletter into my membership is one I knew would reduce my reach, but increase my impact.

It’s only a week into the switch and I’m already seeing this play out.

I’m serving fewer people, but in better ways.

I’m speaking to the right people – the ones who will take action and have bet on themselves.

And people who may have been casual readers of my newsletter for years are discovering I can help them SO much more than they realized.

It’s exciting.
