6 Weekend Projects To Spark New Ideas

Looking for a weekend project?

Try one of these:

1. Give yourself 20 minutes to write the story of something that changed the trajectory of your career and publish it as a social media post or newsletter.

2. Go to a bookstore and browse a section with the kind of books you never read. Buy one and read at least the first chapter this weekend.

3. Write a list of 20 things you’d like to do but have been scared to try. Pick one to try this weekend.

4. Call a friend you haven’t spoken to in a long time. Ask them, “What’s the weirdest thing that’s happened to you since we last talked?”

5. Go for a walk and walk at a much slower pace than you typically would – so slow it almost feels uncomfortable. See what you notice.

6. Set an alarm on your phone to ring every 3 hours throughout the day. Each time it rings, write down an idea or observation inspired by or related to whatever you happen to be doing at that moment.
