Never stop dreaming. Live today to its fullest!
Love it…thanks for sharing, Roger! I got my bike out for the first Spring ride last week. I grew up cycling and hope to grow old riding as well. Thank you, my sweetie, for re-introducing me to the love of cycling. I look forward to many empty-nest two-wheeled adventures with you! My father-in-law is a legend to the sport and an inspiration to all who know him. My mother-in-law, God rest her soul, continues to take away all of our excuses for not living our two-wheel dreams.
I’ve been riding for nearly 45 years. Racing and riding all types and sizes……. THIS is why! I keeps me young and living the Dream.
Here’s to 45 more!! Thanks for reminding me the Dream is still out there.
Ride hard and LIVE forever………
Comment Number 400 is a testimony to the impact this commercial has had. Yes, bless the actors. It’s easy to forget what moves us in our busy world. Making the days count rather than counting the days. Very inspiring at all levels, nostalgic, keep our parents memories alive lest they perish forever. It got my blood pumping as riding season in New England is about to launch. Thanks. Big Al
I love a good happy cry on a Friday morning. Thank you. 🙂
an absolutely beautiful and heartwarming piece. this is the type of item that should be shown on the national news…..
You did a great job at capturing the feeling you get when you live.
What’s the point of living if you have nothing to live for, or to enjoy?
Good work on the vid.
now this is a love story !
thanks

No doubt, The Greatness This In Our Mind.
If we want to achieve something, we have to conceive it within our hearts. These men did it, in spades! We must all have a dream to fight for, a project to accomplish, a place to go and someone to love!
An earlier statement: “I am living my dream. It isn’t always easy but it is in the right direction.”
Followed by: “When we stop dreaming, we stop living.”
And later: “You there? Busy wiping tears from remembered poignant connections to roots we carry inside? Or maybe miss them? HEY!!! Fine.. BUT ->
“Regardless of how people may or may not be moved by this actually rather mild story that ‘s designed to touch on peoples issues of nostalgia, life/death, lost loved ones, putting some meaning into ones plans, or making statements with endtimes of ones’ own winding down…..
“ANY OF THAT… in such ways or that evoke such matters in your own lives and stories….
“it has ***nothing whatsoever*** beyond product name association WITH THE MYTH THIS AD PROVIDES that says Jack Squat ABOUT THE ACTUAL BUSINESS PRODUCT OR SERVICE BEING LINKED TO IT VIA SPONSORSHIP. What is the bank? and it’s role ? Differing how from any other management of money… more for their benefit than yours on it’s best day, you can be sure of that.
“I’ll have some swampland in Florida to offer you as soon as I get the movie theme ad ready to roll at you.”
Well, now.
I would so much prefer to have those who made the first two (profound) statements as friends than him who seems hell-bent on internet rage. I live their lives and have successfully managed to avoid Curtain #3.
Ease off #3, you’re missing the thrust of the entire message. This isn’t meant to be a great idea for a commercial, it’s a commercial for life. Get one for yourself today. Avoid the spring rush.
Looking out from inside- Young again
What a wonderful testimony to true friendship. We all can learn from this story.
Exhilarating memories of faces from times gone by . Cherish those moments, there is a young one inside of each of us wanting to break out
Just posted on facebook. Hope I get lots of hits. Wonderful video.
i found out two years ago that i have a very serious health issue. my harley has been parked and covered in the garage since then. not any longer. i’m taking it out this sat. and i’m going to stop feeling sorry for my miserable self and start living life again. thanks for sharing this video. my wife and kids are in for a hugh surprise.
This exemplifies a statement that I wrote for a personal affirmation: “You are a noble soul and your purpose is divine.” This is the image of the nobility and the divinity within the human spirit.
This is why David restores antique cars, gardens, cooks, teaches part-time at night for 3 universities, sits on 3 Boards of Directors and 1 Honeowners Association; used to fly airplanes and ride motorcycles; … has a satisfying day job as well.
My mom put Harry and Leaha together to form my name. My bike is a 94 FXRP from the city of Boca. My arrival in Philadelphia’s Strawberry Mansion section was late 1927. In the early forties my dad helped me put a briggs engine on my 26″ bicycle. Until my weight was over 135# it would do almost 40 MPH. For a time six years ago, Sunday morning was breakfast with “Independent Retreads” near Miami International Airport. Live to ride, ride to live.
Well done, this was met to inspire Us into following Our Dreams befor We wither and Die. I’ve been riding for 47 years and will continue to ride as long as I am able as it’s a freedom I can’t find anywhere else on earth. I travel from Alaska to the East Coast every couple of years or 8500 miles a year. You are All My reson for traveling across Our Country, We all seem to be the Best We can Be when Were on the open road following Our Dreams. Life is only as Good as We Allow it to be.. Be Well One and All Uncle Don of Alaska.
Zest for life, good friends and exercise makes life worth living. Stop feeling old and sorry for yourself. These men showed that you can live life to the fullest.
Hi from a bikers.
I love you short video, teach the most important life values.
Where theare No dreams, no life.
Sorry for my english.
Aldo
Carpe vita! It’s the only one you’ll ever have.
Brought some tears. The lasting love of true friends, rememberance of the past and the desire to “keep goin’ til you can’t”. Absolutely the best thing I’ve ever seen that says “live your life to the fullest”.
Makes me think about what I’d like to do with the rest of my life. At 67 I have at least another 30 years to dream about and enjoy. Go man.
Started on a ’46 Harley and went forward from there. Finally had to stop because of the old “pump”. Really enjoyed the “ring dinger”, “the pop cycle”, but the Honda was really my choice. At 79, I still miss those bugs on my teeth. Wife and daughter also tagged along on a Honda and a Yamaha.
Why should we act as if we are already dead?
Live it up baby, life is but a vapor. Get right with God and see what happens.. Let God shine on you.
This is such a wonderfully produced and spiritually touching clip. One that hopefully touches even the most hardened of hearts. Those gentlemen have all my respect because they didn’t whine or lay down when life dealt them it’s hardships.
As I lay on my back recovering from a motorcycle accident (three weeks ago) that broke my right ankle ; required 11 screws , donor bone and a plate, I honestly cannot wait to get back on “Blue” and get the wind back in my face!
Even if you get kicked off the horse, get back on. Regardless if it is riding, skiing, swimming etc. DO that in life that keeps your child inside alive. It is one of the keys to longevity.
Thank you David for sharing this wonderful story of your father and his friends. It has inspired many outstanding posts by those who have viewed it. I will be touched by this until my final breath.
The music played is “on your mark”

The sad part is that they didn’t use Harley Davidsons!
i am 78 yrs old and still remember the thrill of riding on my motoguzzi 1000 and with my husband on our harley. i would like to ride again but can’t find a man old enough
Wonderful, a simple story shows there is pride in achieving, whatever your age and if you, the watcher, have a connection with this in your own heart, you’ll have a tear in your eyes.
I am 69 and I lived that dream in 2010 by taking a 14,000 mile trip over 2 1/2 months. I am still riding and enjoying the wind in my face. I share these gentlemen’s thrill every time I crank up my motorcycle and get on the road. I understand why they did not have a bigger bike living on the island. But it does not matter what 2-wheeler you are riding, it is the thrill of just being a solo rider.
I’m 73. I, like these gentlemen, still ride my Harley. I, also, still pilot my Cessna 180. We older boys just have more expensive toys. Someone once said that youth is wasted on the young…might be something to that statement.
Your only young once, but hopefully we can stay immature all our lives.
Reggie, what does HD have to do with this??? I think you missed the entire point. Life is short, but life is full of passion, and dreams. These men pushed dreams and passion to the end of the spectrum. Had they done so on a bicycle, the meaning is the same. Never, never, never give up.
Do you have any dreams?
You didn’t seem the least bit moved by this, only focused on the bike involved.
Ride On…I started riding when I retired and now it is a a part of my every week. Riding a motorcycle was something I had always wanted to do, since I was stationed in Japan in 1963…It took too long for me to actualize my dream… but now I am making up for lost time…
What a beautiful message; Just because you get old does not mean that you are finished worn out or done.
We continue to have dreams!
Thank you for heart rendering moment.

Why can’t all commercials be this good? Because this was a commercial for a bank. From the responses, this commercial sold a lot of motorcycles. It didn’t get, who was it again? oh, yes, a bank, any money management fees, or deposits, or anything else a bank needs.
There’s a caveat here. This commercial was aimed at a Taiwanese audience. That audience will react in a different way from an American audience, a South African audience, a British audience, and so forth.
This may or may not have been a successful Taiwanese commercial. But from what I’ve seen here, the lesson most ad execs are going to take is that this is a good ad for selling motorcycles to old guys. Therefore (to them) it’s a bad ad, because old people’s money isn’t as good as young people’s money. (There’s a myth that young people become loyal customers.) So I’m thinking that this would not even see the light of day as a motorcycle commercial in the US. (It might in Japan.)
Good stuff; brought back nostalgic memeories of my days on a 750 cc BSA Golden Flash & a 500 cc Norton Dominator in the late 60’s & early 70’s on the tea plantations in Sri Lanka. I am now 62 & migrated to Australia 20 years ago. My dream is to buy a Harley & tour Australia in retirement; it will be good to feel the wind in the face & relive those carefree days of my youth!!! ” Life is what you make of it “
I’m 64 in a couple of months. I flew helicopters in Viet Nam and quit when I was 23. I started back at 60 and now fly EMS in South Carolina. I love it and it keeps me young. Never give up!
Ironically all their original clothes fit like a glove the second time round.
Us Ole’-guy’s can still teach the youngesters
of the world a few good things about life on
this wonderful earth.
It’s not about the bank! It’s not about the bikes! It about the people living the life. “Every good and every perfect gift comes from above….” James 1:17 Ride on!
I agree this is a great commercial but if that is all you see you may have missed the point. This is the way life should be lived!
In fact, I have a placque in my office that reads “Life’s Journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways totally worn out shouting, WooHoo! What a ride!
Very moving. Perhaps we too can find the courage to our hearts’ dreams and desires. It drives my will to ride again!
Very moving. Perhaps we too can find the courage to our hearts’ dreams and desires. Faith. It certainly drives my will to ride again! Thank you.
Inspiring, don’t ever stop dreaming.Riding my bike is part of my bucketlist. Living life to the fullest every day.
The difference between those guys and my buddies and I, we never stopped.
Inspirational, touched by the loving hand of friendship ,and for those of us who are not well this lifts the spirits sky high.
Very poignant. Beautiful. I am still moved by such an incredible story.
Almost 80 now still riding sometimes with my 2 sons and a g/son all on H D;s Love the comments .
