Bank, bank, what bank, this was a great reminder to me to keep living my life (age 62) Frank is right about Mark. Cynical people like that should not comment it only makes their flaws more obvious. I ride every day rain, hail or shine. If you are feeling your age then you need to get up and do something adventureous. So many choices in this one and only life.

Tony Ruiz March 17, 2011 Reply

This really got me too. I love it. Keep up the great work! It sez it all

Christopher Bernard Lidstone March 17, 2011 Reply

I loved it, I truly did and I will try to write a poem about that last grasp of real life.

42 years I was a really motorcycle girl, one of the first in Berlin. I can feel the spirit of this movie much in my body! Now, my body strike a bit but still in love with fuel and tires I drive V8 Oldtimer Alfa Romeo Montreal – but still sad nomore to jump on my good old Yamaha Regards to all of us bikers!… ;))

Loved the show, hope to participate when my strokes stop. Junked my Gold Wing 2 years ago, may buy a HD if I get better. I’m only 73, but can’t walk much and I bet I can still pull the clutch and twist the throttle. Known as Old Trucker.

Motorcycles riding can be so healing. If you ride you understand that!

Bob P March 18, 2011 Reply

Love the advert still tearfull after watching, still feel the same riding after 60 years planning trip to France soon. You have to be a biker to really feel what it’s like to ride with mates on a long journey and enjoy the evening together. Can’t wait until next time.

Wow! This moved me more than anything I have seen in a very long time. I would go see the movie about these guys…if someone made one.

Chaz Shukat March 18, 2011 Reply

This is simply a great piece of filmmaking.
Through the use of beautiful imagery and a fantastic musical score through a range of emotions; starting with on a rather cold documentary feeling (or an average bank commerical), then moving to humor (haa?), then inspiring, sentimental, touching.
You laugh, you cheer, you cry – all in 3 minutes. That’s great filmmaking!
Right up there with the incredible 1 min. Budwiser 9/11 commercial.

Bob Fleetham March 18, 2011 Reply

I just hate the word “Commercial” because as far as I am concerned ALL “commercials” are lies, perpetrated for the fat-cat imbeciles who see this world and it’s people as merely “consumers” to be treated poorly, and taken advantage of. My parents taught me truth, and the truth is there is very little truth in this existence!

Jerry Frederick March 18, 2011 Reply

The production and the story may help others understand why We Ride. I just returned to riding again last year. I have been riding since I was 15. I turn 64 in 2 weeks and pray that I will be able to continue for another 15.

Sally March 19, 2011 Reply

very touching , hope I can be happy as this story , so happy.

Carol March 19, 2011 Reply

This means do not wait too long to follow your dreams. Also, do not wait for your special one to die before doing worthwhile things with your family. Love to all.

Biking has outlasted two wives, the last still an occasional pillion pal. Am 77 and counting on as many years as parts replacement both personal and mechanical are available. The ad does justice to the ageless adventure.

Linc March 19, 2011 Reply

Well done and very inspirational…forget what bike it meant to highlight, the theme here, in my mind is to “live and let live” and “live free” …so quit whining, eat right, drink lots of water, get a good night sleep and lets roll.

I will leave my sixties this year. This is my dream for the next decade. A nice hunky machine safe enough for me and my grandchild who will reach her teen years in just a few more days. I dream of picking her up from lacrosse practice, ready to ride! Thanks for the inspiration!

Brenda Sulpizio March 19, 2011 Reply

This absolutely beautiful!!

Mike Frederick March 19, 2011 Reply

Thanks for sending this Jerry. The body at 63 y/o seems to move with more deliberation and aches these days…except when on the Harley. The mind is still sees itself as a young man, when all our friends were around us and anything was possible. See you for the ride this summer Bro.

Love this! Need more real things like this to be aired. Most people die nowadays when they are 30…we don’t just bury them until 40-50 years later.

Aladdin March 19, 2011 Reply

NEVER, say “I can’t” unless you are already to give up living.

Craig March 19, 2011 Reply

Had a Lambretta motor scooter when I was 16. Looking for another one 51 years later. EXILLERATING yes!

Carl March 19, 2011 Reply

I was 64 when I got my first bike. I am now 65 and riding a Harley Road King. I just knew I had to do it. I know how they feel.
Live to ride. Ride to live.
How real are they?

I have known for a long time that I have many brothers and sisters in Japan. I have never felt closer to them then now.

How incredibly awesome!!! I watch it every morning, to ‘start my day’! Thank you for your incredible creativity and sharing your wonderful gift!

Bob March 20, 2011 Reply

Awesome, defintiely enjoyed it. I did however laught a bit because it hits home. I have been riding on and off for 30 yrs. Rode over 6 yrs in Japan, mostly in the Tokyo and surrounding areas. I have manged to stay in touch with many of the guys from that time and some of them are in various places around the world. We have somewhat joked in how we’d all get together in the future and ride by then some with canes, etc. The connections can last a lifetime like no other.

John March 20, 2011 Reply

Why do I ride?

Because I can…

I am 67. I ride on the street. I ride off-road. I compete in vintage road racing. And THIS was the best three minutes I’ve had in a good long time. Ride on gentlemen, our road never ends.

Huw March 20, 2011 Reply

were these guys members of kuomintang ?

Huw March 20, 2011 Reply

and another thing – in all honesty, aren’t these guys a danger not only to themselves, but other road users ? they seem to be all over the road.

Anne Asuncion March 20, 2011 Reply

CLASSIC……………Simply CLASSIC!! I love it! Thank you!

Carol Hennessey March 20, 2011 Reply

Fantastic commercial, it brought tears to my eyes. I turned 65 on January 4th. We keep living and moving, thinking and doing caring and loving till the Lord calls us home.

Jim Johnson March 20, 2011 Reply

My buddy, ‘bikermike’ sent this to me and I loved it. I am 75, still riding, ‘bikermike’ is a little younger, trying to catch me. If this video does not get to you, you got problems.

H. Turner Knight, III March 20, 2011 Reply

There is nothing like getting in the wind, I have been riding since 1967 and I will be riding as long as I live, there is no life without my bike.

Esti Allina March 20, 2011 Reply

I think it should be categorized as ‘inspirational’, not ‘nonsense’ ! 😉

Just shows to go ya – it’s never too late to live it up and it’s better to live until you die!

Wonderful video, thanks for sharing it.

duffpilot March 21, 2011 Reply

Only thing better would have been to have some doting 71-year old babes on the back of the bikes riding with them.

george.leverock38@gmail.com March 21, 2011 Reply

this may have started out as a commercual, but it has sent a great message also, if you still have life and can move get up and do stop thinking about it and wondering if {I} CAN OR I DON’R THINK I CAN GET UP ANF GET GOING.” bravo”

Believe it or not, a bunch of my friends and I are doing a four day scooter ride on April 2~5 2011 starting in Taichung and driving south to Tainan then over the mountains towards Chihshang up along the coast to Taroko back over the mountains again to Taichung. And I’m 59 and can’t wait to get started!!!! Life is Good!!!

I loved this short film. Very inspiring. Yesterday I decided to fly a plane and made the reservation to take my first lesson – just because. My fiance’s sudden death reminds me that each day of life is a gift to be treasured, never, ever to be taken for granted. And when I see his eyes through our daughter, I know that life is unpredictable and amazing. She was born after he died, and in her, he lives on still…her spirit and enthusiasm for life is amazing and affects everyone she meets. I am so blessed!!!

Reta Derkson March 21, 2011 Reply

Awesome…this would make a great movie…One huge thing on a bucket list…Go for your dream, don’t just sit there and wait to die..Bring all your life to what you love. Adventure and Joy…love this commercial!

This brought back memories of my dad. He had a motocycle with a sidecar which my mom sat in as he and his ‘gang’ rode. He passed away Dec 22, 2010 at the age of 93.

Dan Mc March 21, 2011 Reply

Awesome commercial.

The way I want to go out of this world….only, 20 years sooner would be just fine with me.

John March 21, 2011 Reply

It’s not about bikes or riding as some seem to think. It’s about never giving up or giving in to hopelessness – which is all too easy to do as we age and our natural lives near their ends.

Ken March 21, 2011 Reply
