1. Pick ONE social platform to use.
You don’t need to be on LinkedIn AND Instagram AND Facebook AND TikTok.
Your business will grow faster if you focus all your time, energy, and resources on a single platform first.
Pick the one that you most enjoy using, best matches the type of content you enjoy creating (text, images, or videos), and/or your target clients most commonly use.
Any individual social platform is big enough for you to build a business that succeeds beyond your wildest dreams.
Don’t cave into the false belief that you need to be everywhere or chase vanity metrics.
Once you’ve grown on a single platform, it’s easy to expand to additional platforms down the road and you can quickly grow on them at that point because you’ll be able to leverage your existing audience and proven content from your first platform to grow on the additional ones.
2. Optimize your social profile to attract and convert your ideal clients.
Don’t treat your profile page like a resume – treat it like a sales page.
Your bio, pinned post, and header image should explain WHY your target clients should follow you, not just who you are.
It’s counterintuitive, but your social bio shouldn’t actually be about you…
It should be about how you can help your target clients.
When a potential client views your profile they’re actively deciding whether or not they should follow you and invite you into their feed – give them a clear reason to do so.

3. Post at least 3 times a week on your chosen platform.
In a perfect world you’d post daily, but if that feels overwhelming, start with at least three posts a week.
You need to publish frequently because each post is an opportunity for you to learn what works and what doesn’t for you on that platform.
The reps will also help you get better at creating content and help the algorithms find your audience.
The less you post, the fewer shots you take at making things happen.
Read this if you struggle to create consistently.
