1. “I’ll help you go from [PROBLEM STATE] to [SOLUTION STATE]”
An example:
“I’ll help you go from spending a ton of time and effort on content that doesn’t get you business to getting lots of business from content that takes you less time to create.”
Value is transformation and transformation means you take someone from Point A to Point B.
This may seem obvious, but it’s amazing how often people talk about what their offer includes and why they’re great, but don’t mention the before/after transformation it drives.
2. “I’ll help you go from [NEGATIVE EMOTION] to [POSITIVE EMOTION]”
An example:
“I’ll help you go from frustrated and confused that your content isn’t getting you business to confident in what you’re cr and excited to see it pay off.”
This is a twist on the first transformation sentence and it’s just as important.
Emotions drive decisions so you need to address the emotional payoff of your offer.
3. “Picture this…”
An example:
“Picture this:
What if tomorrow you could cut and paste an email I gave you, send it to your email list, and have multiple people reply saying they’re interested in your offer?”
Paint a picture for people of exactly how your offer works and what’s possible.
It’s a way for them to “experience” the value before they’ve experienced the value.
4. “Unlike most ____, my ____ is…”
An example:
“Unlike most coaches, my coaching is asynchronous – it doesn’t require you to fill your schedule with calls to get the value from it.”
This addresses a huge mistake I see people make with their offers – they explain why the offer is valuable, but not what differentiates it from other options the potential buyer has to solve their problem.
Remember:
It’s not enough to just say you can solve someone’s problem – you need to explain why they should choose YOU to solve their problem instead of someone else.
One final note…
If you want to more clearly explain your value, I can help.
I offer coaching and/or will write your messaging and marketing materials for you.
Let me know if you’d like my help.
