How To Get More Results From Your Content In 30 Minutes A Day

How to get more business, reach, and engagement from your content in 30 minutes a day WITHOUT publishing more often:

MONDAY: Consume New Things

Read, listen, or watch something outside your niche from a source you don’t typically consume.

When you apply what you learn to the content you create, your content becomes more unique.

TUESDAY: Reignite Existing Relationships

Send emails to previous customers or collaborators you haven’t spoken to in a while, post comments on your followers’ social posts, or hop on a call with someone in your network.

The comments make your followers more likely to see you in their feed and the outreach will surface new opportunities.

WEDNESDAY: Explore Your Archives

Review old content you published, interviews you gave, and your sent email folder to rediscover things you’ve said and shared in the past.

Look for things you can share again, expand on, or where your perspective has now changed.

You’re sitting on a mountain of valuable content you’ve already created – you just forgot about it (or don’t think of it as content).

Exploring your archives makes it MUCH easier to create strong content in less time moving forward.

THURSDAY: Study Other Successful Content

Look at top performing posts from people whose content you admire.

Consider what made it work, the formats/images they use, and pay special attention to their headlines, opening lines, and images.

Do it with people in unrelated niches as well – you can likely adapt their formats to your content.

You should come away with inspiration for future content and new formats/templates you can use to package your own ideas.

When a format works in one niche, it will usually work in others as well.

FRIDAY: Brainstorm New Calls To Action

The better you get at asking for what you want in your content, the more likely you are to get it.

Seems obvious, but most of us rarely do it (or do a crappy job of it).

Make a list of actions you want people who consume your content to take – it doesn’t just have to be buying something.

It could be commenting, sharing, clicking, subscribing to your newsletter, contacting you, or a million other things.

For each action, jot down different ways you could make that ask in your content.

You’ll wind up with a list of calls-to-action you can easily drop in to your content moving forward and experiment with.

It’s also a nice way to remind yourself every week that the purpose of all this content you’re creating is ultimately to drive action.
