It’s OK To Be Afraid

New things are scary.

Hard things are frightening.

Unknown futures are worrying.

But fear gets a bad rap.

“No Fear” is a slogan insecure bros use to throw you off the scent of their massive insecurity.

Everyone has fear.

It’s healthy, instinctive, and protects us from a lot of bad stuff.

So stop beating yourself up for being scared.

But…

While you’re at it, try this:

Refuse to let your fear prevent you from going after what you want.

Treat it as a yellow light, not a red one.

Sometimes it’s a sign you should slow down.

But sometimes it’s a sign you should speed up.

Remember:

Sometimes the SAFEST thing to do when you hit a yellow light is to speed up.

You’re stronger than you think.

You can do more than you think.

And you can survive more than you think.

Are you right to be afraid?

Maybe.

But maybe not.

There’s only one way to find out.
