Make your newsletter about a result, not a topic.
Doing the opposite is one of the most common mistakes I see newsletter creators make.
If you write a newsletter, you should be able to answer these 3 questions:
1. Who is it for?
2. What result do those people want?
3. How does reading your newsletter help them get it?
For example, here’s how I answer those questions:
1. My newsletter is for people who want to get more business from the content they publish.
2. The result they want is to get a higher return on the investment they make in producing content.
3. My newsletter helps them get that by giving them specific, proven tactics they can use in their content.
See how clear that is?
That’s why 30,000 people have subscribed to my newsletter.
You can too.
