What’s Best For Your Audience IS The Best Practice

How much of what you do to your audience would you be excited about someone else doing to you?

For example:

You send a 5-day “welcome” email sequence to your new email subscribers.

Would you want that from someone else?

Another example:

You offer a “free” resource, but only if people give you their email address.

Would you want someone to do that to you?

One more example:

You start every podcast episode with 5 minutes of ads.

Would you bother to listen to those if someone else did that?

I understand why you do some of these things.

Many are “best practices” according to the “experts.”

But I follow a simpler rule:

Don’t do anything you wouldn’t want done to you.

What’s best for your audience IS the best practice.

Always.
