If you’re going to link to someone’s social post, leave a comment on their post telling them you’re going to do so.
If you’re going to link to someone’s website in your newsletter, add a utm tag to the link so they can see the traffic came from your newsletter.
If you’re going to talk about someone’s book or podcast or newsletter in a LinkedIn post tag them so they see it.
Linking to other people’s content is a helpful, generous act.
But it’s little things like this that make it even more powerful.
