There’s always that moment.
That moment right before you put something creative into the world.
That moment where doubt creeps in. And fear. And insecurity.
That moment where you think, “Do I want the world to see this? What if people don’t like it? What if it’s bad? Or dumb? Or embarrassing?”
That moment is hard.
But here’s the thing about that moment: The greater your hesitancy, the more likely your creation is to resonate.
If you can push past the fear, you usually find success.
Last night, I wrote a post for The Academy Facebook page that was different from our typical posts. It had me hovering over the publish button considering whether I had the courage to pull the trigger.
Ultimately, I did.
And it turned out to be one of our most successful posts.
It wasn’t the first time I’ve faced that moment and it won’t be the last.
I hope next time I’ll have the courage to press publish again.
