This is a highlight reel from a high school lacrosse announcer named Booker Corrigan. I don’t know anything else about him, but I’m pretty sure ESPN needs to hire this guy immediately.

Ken Burns weighs in on what makes a story interesting and how he chooses which stories to tell in his films.

It seems like the only new music I can find these days that I actually like sounds a lot like it was made decades ago. For example, check out “Faithful Man,” by Lee Fields & The Expressions.

A couple things about this video caught my eye.

First, it’s amazing how a well-made video can make you interested in something you otherwise never thought you’d have any interest in.

Second, it’s interesting to see what can happen when a newspaper takes a break from trying to fight against technology and social media and instead embraces it. Good things tend to result on the rare occasion when that happens.

I just came across a really interesting Google promotion through which they reached out to the creators of some of the most iconic advertising campaigns of all time and invited them to Google to see what they would come up with if they reinvented the campaign today. For example, in this video the man responsible for the “I’d like to buy the world a Coke” campaign learns about what’s now possible with the Internet and helps create a really amazing new spin on his original campaign.

This “Change The Tune” poster was created for offices that would like to democratize the process of choosing what music gets played during the work day. And by “democratize,” I mean that anybody who feels like throwing something at the poster will have the ability to change the song that’s playing.

This is everything that’s great about the Internet wrapped up into 90 seconds of perfection.

I’ve watched a lot of basketball over the years, but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anything like what the Clippers did tonight coming back to win from down 24 points with 14 minutes left to play in the game. What a great way to kick off the playoffs.

I came across two very different videos recently featuring kids having some serious fun performing classic songs. In the first, a 6-year-old autistic boy works his magic on the piano with his take on Billy Joel’s “Piano Man.”

And in the second, a couple of kids who are performing on the street get discovered by Tenacious D and invited to be their opening act at the band’s concert that night.
