I just came across this very cool site that features the work of Sophie Blackall, an artist in New York who creates illustrations inspired by Craigslist’s “Missed Connections” postings. The illustrations are oddly mesmerizing – here’s a couple of recent ones:

And here’s a video interview in which she explains her inspiration and process of creating the illustrations.

These illustrations are kind of cool. Very whimsical! I like them. Craigslist’s Missed Connections is an interesting source of inspiration! :-)

Yeah Daisy, I’m pretty sure this is the first (and only) time they’ve inspired art though.
